Formspring Dramas

Hello my lovelies!
Photobucket

Nothing good to report. Again.

Okay I know I answered one of Formspring's default question "What kind of music can you just not stand to listen to?" and I answered truthfully that Vietnamese music (one out of a few types) was music that I don't like listening to.

So I've been getting questions regarding my answer. People have been taking it to mean that I don't like Vietnamese people/I'm racist.

"why diss viet music? it's the best :["
"I think you could've used better words to describe your disliking of Vietnamese music. I'm Vietnamese, and I found it somewhat offensive."
"I agree with your opinion on Viet music, man. Well, modern 'pop' Viet music especially. And I'm Viet myself."
" loveteajuice
Sayin that you dont like Viet music is almost like me sayin i dont like Chink music. GET IT ($.$)? Youre pissin me off by sayin that Viet music sounds nasally, when it aint. If I say Chink music is nasally, youd be fucking pisseD to the max"
" loveteajuice
So i think that you should rethink what you say about VIET music coz though you dont mean to offend IT IS FUCKING OFFENSIVE!!!"

I'm not going to type out my full response, but if you're interested in reading it, it's on my Formspring.

For being honest about my opinions of music, I get such a huge response. Music is subjective and everyone has their likes and dislikes. If someone said "I hate Super Junior's music" I'd be okay with that because I know not everyone likes their songs. But if you said "Super Junior can't sing" then that would make me quite angry because they've just based that opinion on something completely untrue.
So when I say I don't like Vietnamese music, it's because I don't like how nasal it sounds and I just don't like that.

People like and dislike things for unknown reasons. It's like asking a Miley Cyrus fan why they like her music. And quite often, if you think hard enough, the answer will be "I don't know, I just do. It sounds nice to me."

If I get more of these questions, I'm just going to disable my Formspring. I didn't open up my Formspring to get rude questions like the last two questions I received. I made a Formspring so I could respond to questions people might want to ask, but don't want to leave a comment on my blog (especially for those who don't have Blogger accounts). It's not for rude people to post things like that.

People think it's okay to ask rude questions like this because it's anonymous. I know a lot of girls get a lot of offensive questions like "You're such a slut" etc. My friend even was threatened on Formspring.

So please think about what you ask before you actually ask it. And don't jump to conclusions because someone answer isn't something that you like to see. Everyone has a reason for their opinion, even if it's stupid one, it's still a reason.

So to the person who "asked" the question, thank you for being the cherry on top of a crap week.
